Welcome to the #WomenMakeSheffield (& beyond) blog! Following the success of our tweets for Women’s History Month in March 2021 (see a roundup on our #WHM2021 page here), we’ve decided to continue showcasing the efforts of Steel City women through a regular blog. This will include interviewing current women across Sheffield and how they go about their daily lives, highlighting some of the women from our Oral History interviews, and writing about past Sheffield women and their historic contributions. This is also a space to show our collaborations with fellow Northern groups, archives and heritage organisations, and to showcase the work they’re doing to champion equity and diversity within local communities.
