Your local feminist archive needs you! How has your life changed since 22 March 2020? Over two years on from the UK’s first national lockdown, we’re inviting local women of all ages and backgrounds to share your experiences of life in Sheffield during the pandemic. With our Women in Lockdown project, we’re building a digital archive to capture and amplify your pandemic stories.
How to contribute
You can create an audio recording, written account, or creative submission documenting your pandemic experiences. Audio recordings can be captured on your phone or another suitable device, and can be any duration (max. 30 mins). Why not record your account as a conversation with other women in your life? We also welcome written accounts (max. 5 pages; typed or scanned), photos, and creative interpretations of life locked down in Sheffield. Your submission might explore: health & wellbeing; communication; politics; if/how your feminism has changed; community & mutual aid; daily life and routine; and anything else you might want to record!
